The community came together to raise money for the family of a 14-year-old killed in a hit-and-run crash in South River last Friday.
A GoFundMe for the family of Bryan Barbosa raised more than $60,000 as of Monday night.
Family and friends held a vigil for Barbosa over the weekend near Whitehead and Russell avenues where the teen was struck by a van.
Police say that 63-year-old Michael Arena was driving and did not stop after striking Barbosa. He now faces manslaughter charges.
