CAT-astrophe avoided at Marlboro car wash

A kitten hiding under a car at a Marlboro car wash ran to safety just in time, according to video captured by the business's surveillance cameras.
The cat surprised Joshua Wenzel, an employee at Team Car Wash in Marlboro, and was seen darting out from beneath a vehicle. Wenzel immediately gave chase.
Wenzel, who had already been named the car wash's Employee of the Month, proved himself once again by catching the kitten in less than 30 seconds.
He and his coworker, Camrie Hearne, called the Marlboro Police Department's non-emergency line. Animal control officers responded and picked up the kitten.
The kitten is being held for seven days in case an owner comes forward to claim it. After that period, it will be transferred to veterinary care to be medically cleared and prepared for adoption, according to Team Car Wash.
Once cleared, the kitten will be available for adoption through the Monmouth County SPCA.
