Police say a 56-year-old woman, who is wheelchair-bound, was held at gunpoint Wednesday while thieves ransacked her Ironbound home.
The woman says two men knocked at her door at around 6 p.m. pretending to be looking for someone else and when she answered, they threatened her with a gun and forced their way inside. The thieves were only inside her house for a few minutes, but the woman says they stole her purse, which contained cash, a video camera and some collectible coins.
The woman says she isn't sure if she was targeted because of her disability. Police say they are searching for the suspects, but the woman was only able to give a vague description.
