New Jersey is going through another part of Stage 2 in its reopening, with personal care businesses reopening, including day spas.
Customers of the Day Spa at Hair Plus in Hillsborough can now get haircuts, massages, manicures and pedicures. They are booked through August.
“It's been a lot of hard work and the staff is ready and excited about coming back and doing all of our clients,” says co-owner Suzi Mirra.

Mirra and Nick Agostino are two co-owners of the business, which was just one of many labeled "non-essential" and forced closed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Levash was one of the salon and spa's first customers on its grand reopening day.
“I was hoping she wasn't rusty after all the time off. But she did a fantastic job like she always does,” says Levash.
The customers will be spaced apart in the salon, as every other station will be closed down. For the past three months, its staff has been installing things such as plexiglass dividers, sanitizing stations, and buying things like thermometer guns, disposable coverings and PPE.
They've also gotten rid of all magazines and books at the salon. All of the changes are in compliance with the state protocols.
Other protocols in place include no walk-ins, appointments only, checking temperatures of every person who walks into the salon and limiting the amount of people in the salon at once.
Everyone must wear a mask inside the salon.
