New Jersey residents officially have only one more week to get a Real ID ahead of the May 7 deadline.
Those without a Real ID or a passport could face delays at airport security. Travelers can expect additional screening and the possibility of not being allowed beyond the security checkpoint if their identity cannot be verified.
Officials with the Motor Vehicle Commission say that there are no more appointments available for Real IDs.
Those who have an appointment or go after the deadline passes must bring two proofs of residential address, one proof of Social Security number and six points of identification.
