The Bellevue Theatre in Upper Montclair North Jersey that reopened last fall after getting new funding and has been named one of the “100 greatest cinemas” list by Time Out.

The Bellevue, which opened its doors in 1922, is the only movie house in New Jersey to make the global ranking.

Across the Hudson River, five classic cinemas in New York City also appeared on the list.

For North Jersey, The Bellevue’s recognition is especially meaningful at a time when many historic theaters have closed in recent years.
