Police say a teenage boy from Passaic County drowned in a Warren County river Monday.
The 16-year-old, who is believed to be from Clifton, apparently jumped off an old railroad bridge into the river below, police say.
Friends who were with the teenage boy in Hardwick tell News 12 New Jersey that he decided to jump into the river despite not knowing how to swim.
State police divers recovered the boy's body Tuesday morning.
