A Bergen County teen faces charges for allegedly failing to report the death of a young woman whose remains are believed to have been found after she went missing last year.

Bergen County prosecutors say Antony Freay, 19, of Cresskill, faces numerous charges, including desecrating or damaging human remains and hindering apprehension by concealing evidence and providing false information. His bail was set at $50,000 cash.

The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Mila Kostadinova, an 18-year-old Dumont woman reported missing by her family in June 2014.

Prosecutors say she had been with several friends in the hours before she disappeared, and was last seen at Freay's home.

On Wednesday, investigators found human remains off the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Alpine. It is believed to be the body of Kostadinova, but officials are waiting for the medical examiner to determine if that is true.
