A man from Kenilworth has lost his teaching license after admitting to making a threat against the school where he worked in Cranford.
Matthew Acosta, 34, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and admitted to making the general threat against the Orange Avenue School.
According to the prosecutor’s office, back on Nov. 1, Acosta made a comment to a colleague, saying he might commit an act of gun violence at the school.
He was arrested the next day.
Acosta used to teach special education at the school.
He is now banned from any public school in the township.
