A driver died of cardiac arrest after a two-car collision Sunday morning in Newark, according to officials.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda says the crash occurred around 7:40 a.m. along McCarter Highway.
Officers responded to the scene and found two drivers injured.
One driver went into cardiac arrest at the scene and was hospitalized in critical condition. They were later pronounced dead.
Officials say second driver is in stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
