Hundreds paid tribute to an 8-year-old boy who died from a rare heart disease with a superhero-themed funeral.
Jeremiah Davall had been fighting to stay alive since he was born. He died last Thursday after battling a condition known as corrected transposition of the great vessels.
Davall spent most of his life in and out of the hospital, getting multiple heart surgeries.
Despite his painful battle, he always showed courage and remained in high spirits.
"I truly believe he was a superhero and anybody that knew him, knew he was a superhero," said Jesseca Davall, Jeremiah's mother.
Many people wore superhero shirts to Jeremiah's funeral to honor the 8-year-old who loved Spiderman.
A league of superheroes in full costume even showed up as pallbearers.
Although the funeral may seem unconventional, Jesseca says it's what her son would have wanted.
Jeremiah is survived by his parents and older sister.
