A 27-year-old Secaucus man has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation into suspected child sexual abuse material, police said.
Thomas J. Hindle Jr. was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to Secaucus police.
The investigation began in December 2025 after police received a tip about child sexual abuse material uploaded from a storage device registered to Hindle.
Police allege Hindle possessed and distributed a video depicting child sexual abuse material.
Secaucus detectives, assisted by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children units, executed a search warrant at Hindle's home on Schopmann Drive on Tuesday.
Several electronic devices and hard drives were seized, police said.
Hindle was taken to the Hudson County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
