A man is under arrest following a road rage incident involving a knife in Washington Township on Sunday.

Police say they initially responded to a crash involving a Tesla and a bicycle near Wilson Road and Bryant Road.

The Tesla driver told police the bicyclist, identified as William Greene, 56, of Washington Township, threw an object at the car. When the driver rolled down his window to ask about it, Greene became aggressive and threatened him with a knife, according to police.

Police recovered a pocketknife matching the driver's description, which they plan to use as evidence.

A witness also told police that Greene spat on the car.

Police say the Tesla driver struck the bicycle while attempting to drive away, throwing Greene to the ground.

Greene faces multiple charges, including assault. He was taken to Salem County Jail.

Anyone with information about this incident or similar incidents is asked to contact Washington Township police.
