High pressure will be anchored over the Eastern states through midweek next week. This will result in abundant sunshine and increasingly warm temperatures. Highs will be in the 70s this weekend and may flirt with 80 degrees early next week. This is more typical of early September conditions. A cool front will move through. It will be moisture starved. No significant rain is expected. Readings will be more seasonable Thursday.
Our dry streak continues with 19 consecutive days with no measurable rain. The drought continues to worsen, especially over Southern New Jersey.
