New Jersey may feel expensive to live in at times, but a new story has found that the Garden State makes the Top 10 of the most affordable states.
According to the job search site Lensa, New Jersey is ranked No. 9.
The company looked at grocery prices, housing, utilities and transportation. They also compared the overall cost of living with the average salary in each state.
There is a 35% difference between the cost of living and the average wage in New Jersey.
Colorado and Wyoming ranked right above New Jersey.
The study found that Virginia was the most affordable state to live in, while Hawaii was the least affordable.
