A new study by Lensa ranks the best U.S. states for working parents, and New Jersey was revealed to be among the only seven states offering parental leave.
The study looked at the total number of paid leave weeks for both parents and at the average payment rate for paid leave, to find where in the U.S. parents are offered the most paid parental leave.
All the states offer a minimum of five weeks of total paid leave available in one year. Connecticut and New York are also included. New Jersey offers the lowest payroll deduction rate of 0.14%.
