NJ Transit temporarily resumes service at Penn Station on Northeast Corridor line

NJ Transit said Tuesday that there would be limited rail service out of Penn Station on the Northeast Corridor line temporarily due to customer demand.
It says the limited service would last the remainder of the service day.
Earlier, the rail service suspended systemwide due to overhead wire and signal issues. Crews are working to remove trees on wires along other lines.
It said in a tweet that "rail tickets and passes are being cross-honored by PATH at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken and 33rd St, NJ TRANSIT Light rail, bus, private carrier buses and PATCO."

NJ Transit released a guide as to when it expects service to resume:
- The Northeast Corridor will resume with weekend service at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
- The Atlantic City Rail Line will resume with regular weekday service.
- Morris and Essex, Montclair-Boonton, Main, Bergen, Pascack Valley, North Jersey Coast Line, Raritan Valley and Port Jervice rail lines will remain temporarily suspended during Wednesday morning's commute.
- These lines will resume a weekend schedule once the repairs are made.
- The Northeast Corridor will resume with weekend service at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
- The Atlantic City Rail Line will resume with regular weekday service.
