A small plane that took off from New Jersey made an emergency landing on Interstate 78 in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, Saturday morning, prompting detours and an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Pennsylvania State Police Troop M received reports of a plane on I-78 Eastbound near Mile Marker 45.6 in Weisenberg Township at 9:19 a.m. The aircraft, a 1995 Rockwell Commander 114B, was operated by a 65-year-old man from Michigan and had a 34-year-old female passenger from New Jersey.
