Brick Township seizes over 600 illegal vape cartridges

Brick Township says last week it seized the largest collection of illegal vape cartridges it’s ever seen.
Police arrested Kyle Jakubowski and Thomas Ryan after they saw them exchanging a package in the Walmart parking lot.
Police say search warrants turned up several items, including 627 THC vape cartridges, 5 pounds of marijuana, 9 pounds of THC candy, "magic" mushrooms, suspected ecstasy and methamphetamines.
There was also over $127,000 in cash found.
The increase in patrols came following a pair of shootings, including the Oct. 22 incident near Brick Memorial High School.
Chief Jim Riccio said what was happening in town was unacceptable.
Both suspects remain in the Ocean County jail and face numerous drug-related offenses.
