An American Airlines mechanic has been arrested and accused of trying to sabotage a plane with 150 passengers before takeoff.
The plane was supposed to fly from Miami International Airport to the Bahamas back in July.
According to authorities, Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani sabotaged an instrument that reports the aircrafts’ speed, pitch, and other important data.
Alani admitted to damaging the instrument, but said he didn't want to hurt anyone.

He told investigators he was angry over a union contract dispute with the company that had impacted him financially.
Alani has been charged with "willfully damaging, destroying, disabling, or wrecking an aircraft."
The plane never took off and no one was injured.
