Looking for a job? The long-awaited American Dream complex in East Rutherford will be hosting a job fair next week in Lyndhurst.
Anyone interested can apply in person July 24 and 25 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bergen Community College's Meadowlands campus at 1280 Wall St. West. The fair will continue the next day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
American Dream officials plan to hire about 1,200 employees leading up to the center's Oct. 25 opening.
Positions include lifeguards, ride technicians, patrol officers, and more. They range from part-time to full-time.
American Dream will feature 3 million square-feet of retail, dining and entertainment, including more than 450 stores and restaurants. The project includes an amusement park, an indoor ski slope, an indoor ice skating rink, an indoor water park and more.
The project has been plagued by financial problems since the first contract was awarded in 2003.
