Stormy weather causes flooding, power outages across New Jersey

Severe thunderstorms tore across parts of the state around 6 p.m. causing some localized flooding.

Stormy weather Monday evening caused some issues around the state.
Severe thunderstorms tore across parts of the state around 6 p.m. causing some localized flooding.
Flash flood warnings were in effect for some parts of the state for a time.
The storm also caused some power outages around the state. JCP&L was reporting 1.487 customers without power as of 10 p.m. PSE&G was reporting 165 customers without power.
The stormy weather was expected to clear out by the overnight hours.
