WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
While there is still some uncertainty with the track of the storm, a widespread of 4 to 8 inches of snow is possible across the city and boroughs.
Very cold air will infiltrate the area starting Thursday night. The winds will pick up and usher in arctic cold air.
Temperatures will be in the low 20s waking up Friday morning, with wind chills 10 to 15 degrees.
Friday starts off dry but the snow starts to come down by dinnertime. It will stick and accumulate right away, as temperatures will be in the 20s.
The snow will be heavy at times overnight into Saturday.
Temperatures will be seasonable with highs in the 40s on Christmas Day.
There is also a chance of wind and rain Sunday into Monday.
