Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a few passing, but very light, showers. Nothing meaningful or beneficial, but just enough where the windshield wipers will be on intermittent. The winds are still from a favorable direction, so that should keep the air from dropping off too dramatically, yet with the dampness in the sky, it will feel raw.
Saturday is once again overcast with showers. Soaking storms aren't expected until after 3 p.m. tomorrow. So those early morning soccer, baseball, softball and lacrosse games should still be on, but watching from the stands will be a chilly experience. There could be a few passing, very light showers from daybreak until lunchtime, especially in northern areas. Don't cancel plans, just plan for the possibility of showers.
Sunday (Mother's Day) will overall be a nice day. The sun will be out, and the temperatures will be warm. We may need to keep an eye on the weather charts for later in the afternoon. The newer high-resolution model guidance ensembles are beginning to show some storms popping off after 3 p.m. in central and coastal areas.
