Storm Watch Team meteorologist Michele Powers says rain, thunder and even lightning may linger into early overnight but not severe ahead of a sunny Sunday.
Wind damage is the biggest threat with these storms.
NEXT: A cold front will change wind direction overnight and usher in drier air. Less humid on Sunday but still hot. Same for Independence Day on Monday. Highs well into the 80s, but no extreme humidity.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with rain showers. Highs lower 80s.
Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Highs lower 80s.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with showers. Highs lower-80s.
Friday: Sun and clouds, warmer. Highs middle 80s.
Saturday: Storm chance, warmer upper-80s.
