Remnants from Nicole are expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds to parts of New Jersey Friday.
Storm Watch Team meteorologists say the worst of the weather is expected to arrive by Friday night and will last into Saturday morning.
NICOLE’S IMPACT: First rain expected by Friday afternoon. Heaviest rain expected Friday by 10 p.m., lasting until around 4 a.m. Saturday. Rain expected to taper off by 11 a.m. Saturday. Thunderstorms are a possibility.
Forecasters predict 1-2 inches of rain, with a possibility of flooding. Sustained winds of 20-30 mph are expected, with gusts of up to 50 mph. Power outages are also possible due to the winds.
Temperatures expected to be warm throughout the day, with daytime highs around 69 degrees.
SATURDAY: Rain tapers off by the afternoon, followed by mostly clear skies. Daytime highs around 70 degrees. Overnight lows dip to around 48.
SUNDAY: Temperatures cool, with daytime highs around 53 degrees. Mostly sunny skies expected, with some clouds. Overnight lows around 33.
MONDAY: Sunny skies, but temperatures barely reach 50 degrees. Overnight lows around 32.
