PSE&G says it has activated its storm response plan ahead of a potential nor’easter that could bring heavy rain and gusty winds to the region over the next several days.
The utility said Wednesday it has positioned additional crews and resources throughout its service territory as it monitors the storm’s track and prepares for possible power outages.
PSE&G is encouraging customers to charge phones and other essential devices, secure loose outdoor objects, and keep flashlights and fresh batteries available. Customers should stay at least 30 feet away from downed power lines and assume they are energized.
Customers can report outages through the PSE&G mobile app or outage center, by texting “OUT” to 47734 or by calling 1-800-436-7734.
