FORECAST:
It'll be another summer-like day ahead of tonight's batch of rain that ushers in autumn temperatures for the late week. Highs each near 81 degrees with a sunny sky that gives way to increasing afternoon clouds.
The clouds overcast by nightfall as the rain moves in shortly after midnight. Rain makes for a soggy and puddly morning commute on Wednesday. The umbrellas will certainly be needed. Rain wraps up near noon and the sky clears for the afternoon. It'll turn lightly breezy with gusts near 15 mph and cooler temperatures near 70 degrees.
Thursday will be much cooler with highs in the lower 60s.
Friday will be pleasant as well with highs in the mid-60s.
The weekend weather looks great for Saturday with increasing thin clouds.
Sunday and Monday is subject to change as there is potential for a coastal storm to develop. This could bring rain and wind to New Jersey if it forms and moves northward enough. There is a chance that it can stay farther south due to the strength of the fall-like fair weather pattern over the northeast. However, there is a chance it can brush up along the Jersey Shore making for windy and rainy coastal impacts into Monday. This needs to be watched carefully.
