A wind advisory is in effect 12 a.m. tonight through 12 a.m. Friday night. Gusts up to 45 mph is expected on Friday. Isolated damaging wind gusts are possible with any thunderstorms.

A powerful storm will bring hazardous travel on Friday. Gusty thunderstorms and a dramatic drop in temperatures are expected.
It's very cold with calmer winds this morning. Temperatures are in the 30s.
Today's high will be in the mid to upper-40s with a mix of clouds and sun.
A strong cold front will move into the city tonight through Friday. The timing is after 10 p.m. on Thursday through 1 p.m. on Friday. The worst of the storm will be between 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. on Friday.
Expect widespread drenching rain and some snowmelt to cause localizing flooding and large ponding. Gusts 40 to isolated 60 mph will cause downed trees and a few power outages across the city.
Temperatures will start off in the mid to upper-50s and quickly plummet throughout the day on Friday with lows in the 20s by Saturday morning. Any standing water or residual flooding will likely freeze over as temperatures fall below freezing. Record highs are possible on Friday. The record is 58 degrees setback in 1931.
It gets colder on Saturday with highs in the 30s and breezy conditions.
