WIND ALERT: The NWS has issued a High Wind Watch and a Wind Advisory for this evening starting at 8 p.m. and continuing through Thursday morning at 8 a.m. The winds will be following the sharp cold front and will be W 20-30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Winds could bring down trees and cause power outages. Secure loose objects outside your home, take down decorations prior to 8pm Wednesday.
FORECAST:
Temperatures Wednesday afternoon will be warmer with highs in the lower 60s. Winds will be light to start the day, then steadily pick up with the worst occurring overnight.
A sharp cold front will deliver some brief gusty storms and damaging wind gusts tonight. There is a risk of isolated showers and even some thunderstorms, especially north of I-84 this evening. The rain won't last long and there is a risk that some storms could have powerful wind gusts. The winds will become more widespread after 8 pm.
It will turn colder Thursday, then warm back up briefly by Saturday. More rain heads our way early Saturday and then again on Sunday.
Temperatures turn drastically colder early next week. Temperatures by Veteran's Day will only be in the middle 40s during the daytime.
