This is a really tough forecast as a nearby nor'easter hugs the New Jersey coastline scraping the edge of the storm along the coast. Coastal snow is expected in Ocean County and points south with some lighter snow possible in Monmouth and interior sections.
However, a slight track change of 20-50 miles can make the difference between light and manageable snow to very heavy snow. Although current trends are favoring the former over the latter, its definitely something to watch. Impacts with wind will be statewide regardless of storm track as the wind field with this storm is fairly vast. The winds will be near 30 mph inland with coastal gusts near 50 mph as the storm is powerful just offshore. There is an increased risk for scattered power outages at the beaches and isolated outages inland.  Coastal flooding and erosion are also moderate threats as waves produced from the nor'easter batter our beaches. High tide flooding is also expected for the Sunday morning high tide cycle on either side of 6/7 a.m. Ice can block tidal draining, too for the midday.  Additionally, temperatures remain very cold between now and then, but it does warm to the mid-30s after the nor'easter slides away. Expect highs near 35 for Monday and Tuesday.
