Heavy snow will fall and accumulate late afternoon into the early evening on Friday.

While there is still some uncertainty with the track of the storm, a widespread of 4 to 8 inches of snow is possible.

Very cold air will infiltrate Connecticut starting Thursday night. The winds will pick up and usher in arctic cold air. Temperatures will be in the low 20s waking up Friday morning, with wind chills 5 to 10 degrees.

Friday starts off dry but the snow starts to come down by dinnertime. It will stick and accumulate right away, as temperatures will be in the 20s.

The snow will be heavy at times overnight into Saturday.

Temperatures will be seasonable with highs in the 40s on Christmas Day.

There is also a chance of wind and rain Sunday into Monday.
