Stockton University will be holding a cannabis career fair on Wednesday for those who are interested in the industry.
The university has a minor and certificate program in cannabis studies and says that there are many jobs in the industry that will pop up in the next six to 12 months when dispensaries begin to open.
"Students who come in often know that you can cultivate it, you can process that middle step and then you can also work in a dispensary and retail,” says adjunct professor Rob Mejia. “But what they don't know is that you can work in hospitality, in health, in hemp - all the back-office things you can also do – entrepreneurship. There's so many ways to get in the business.”
The career fair will feature speakers from all aspects of the cannabis industry and will even have interview opportunities for those seeking employment.
