Gov. Phil Murphy marked a milestone in New Jersey’s legal marijuana industry.
He says that there are now just over 100 dispensaries open in the Garden State – just under two years since adult-use recreational marijuana was legalized.
“As we continue towards our goals for the cannabis market in New Jersey, I am grateful to the Cannabis Regulatory Commission for their dedicated work and leadership on this critical area of our economy,” Murphy wrote in a statement.
Officials say that the dispensaries include 40 that service both medical marijuana patients and recreational users, 12 that are exclusive to patients and 50 that only serve recreational customers. There are 102 dispensaries in all.
