A building long
considered to be an eyesore in Seaside Heights is finally demolished.
The borough gained
control of the rotting steel structure earlier this year on the Boulevard.
The previous owner
failed to redevelop the lot and had been drawing out the process of removing
the building.
After taking
ownership, Seaside Heights sold the building to a company that will
redevelop the site on a timeline managed by the borough.
Initial plans call
for an 8 1/2-story building that will be both retail and residential.
