New Jersey's statewide minimum wage is increasing by $1 to $13 an hour on Jan. 1 for most employees, then up another dollar in 2023 until
it's $15 an hour in 2024.
Seasonal and small
businesses were given until 2026 to reach $15.
The number they're paying
workers will rise to $11.90 an hour next Saturday, up from $11.10.
The
increase is part of legislation signed by Gov. Phil Murphy in February
2019 that gradually raises the minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2024 for most
employees.
