A New Jersey state trooper has been charged in the killing of his dog and the assault of a fellow officer, according to state police.
Trooper Alexander Lark is accused of shoving an officer, acting erratically and destroying a stop sign outside the Wayne Police Department last Thursday around 1 a.m.
Police found a dog shot dead inside a home said to be Lark's.
An eight-year veteran, Lark was suspended without pay and faces multiple charges.
