New Jersey State Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver who they say injured a Saddle Brook Township police officer early Sunday morning.
Investigators say the officer was conducting a traffic stop on a gray Nissan Maxima on I-80 at around 4:34 a.m. when an unknown vehicle traveling eastbound struck the left side of the Nissan and the officer.
The vehicle that hit the officer left the scene.
The officer sustained serious injuries.
The three occupants of the Nissan were not injured.
New Jersey State Police urge anyone with any information to give them a call.
