The results of the state math exam have been released and Bronx students are at the bottom of the list in the city. The worst results came from eighth-graders at Henry Lou Gehrig Junior High School, with only 5 percent of the class passing at grade level. Many adults say they think parents should be more involved in their child?s education. City Councilman James Vacca says the test results show Bronx schools are in a crisis situation. He says there needs to be smaller class sizes and less turnover for Bronx teachers so students get the education they deserve.
