News 12 is spotlighting a woman who has become one of the most successful entrepreneurs in New Jersey.
Adenah Bayoh is the Founder and CEO of Adenah Bayoh & Companies
Bayoh, who escaped the civil war in her native country of Liberia when she was 13, has mission of bringing high quality food and services to urban communities.
She now is the owner of several restaurants including four IHOP franchises, Cornbread - farm-to-table soul food restaurants in Newark Maplewood, and Brooklyn, her latest restaurant concept, Urban Vegan, in downtown Newark.
Also, Bayoh is a successful real estate developer with a portfolio of several major residential and mixed-use urban redevelopment projects across northern New Jersey. She says she is waiting on approval 9% tax credit to build low-income housing in Newark.
Bayoh says she has two little ones at home and being from of Newark, she wants to give back to youngsters in her community.
