Cops in Sparta are hoping they have put an end to the sale of heroin at Sparta High School.

Charles Venino, 18, a senior at the high school was arrested Monday in his car in the school parking lot. Police say they acted on a tip and made the arrest before the drug issue became a bigger problem.

Venino is charged with distribution of heroin and marijuana on school property and drug possession with the intent to sell. The case has been handed over to the Sussex County Prosecutor?s office. Meanwhile, Venino was released pending a court appearance.
