Southern-based chicken franchise Slim Chickens is set to open its first location in New Jersey.
According to a "Coming Soon"
message on its website, the restaurant will be serving up its chicken and waffles at 39 Route 31 in Flemington.
No opening date has been set. The restaurant is replacing a shuttered Roy Rogers.
Their menu includes fried chicken classics such as wings, tenders and chicken on top of waffles.
The franchise, which was about 90 locations across the country, was founded in Arkansas back in 2003. They have opened locations mostly in midwestern and southern states.
