Police arrested a man from South Brunswick after seizing illegal guns and ammunition from his home on Tuesday. They say the suspect made illegal gun purchases out of state and then sold some of those in New Jersey.
Police say Wayne Bagley, 68, would travel to other states and make handgun purchases at gun shows. They say he’d bring them back to New Jersey and then sell them.
Video was released from the seizure at the home as the Middlesex County Special Operations unit moved in at the home on Texas Avenue. Officials say they found seven guns and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
During their investigation, officials say Bagley traveled to West Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. He was previously denied a permit to purchase firearms in 2023.
Bagley was charged with multiple violations, including illegal transport and sale of firearms. He’s being held in Middlesex County Correction Center pending a detention hearing.
