A men’s clothing store in Somerset County is giving back to the community while also doing business once again.
Evolve Clothing is a menswear boutique in Somerville. The owners have made sure to bring a safe experience to its customers.
“We limit the number of try-ons. We set them aside, each article that is put back in stock. It’s cleaned, steamed and then we give it about 72 hours before we put it back,” says owner RanD Pitts.
Customers are also required to wear masks, and the shop will limit the number of people allowed in the store at one time. Social distancing guidelines will also be enforced.
Evolve is also using this as an opportunity to build traction online.

“Now everything is online. We’re pushing everyone to our website,” says Pitts.
The shop is also using its business to give back to the community – asking clients and social media followers to help in the fight against hunger.
“We get truckloads that we’re able to feed local families that really need it at this time,” Pitts says.
He says that they are also supporting the local businesses in the area.
“We’re dining. We’re supporting local restaurants. We build up each other all the time,” he says.
