Six Flags Great Adventure is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The Jackson Township amusement park is home to 14 world-class roller coasters, exciting family rides and a 350-acre safari.

"It is our 50th-anniversary celebration, so we have nostalgic elements throughout the park, with entertainment, some refurbished attractions - including original park attractions, such as the log flume and the giant wheel, which are opening this season - as well as the carousel, another original park attraction being repainted,” says Mark Millari, marketing and public relations supervisor.
