Clear skies and light winds will allow the mercury in the thermometers to drop quickly again tonight. Normal bedtime temperatures this time of year should hover around 48 degrees. With the meteorological conditions expected tonight, temperatures will likely wind up in the upper-20s and low-30s.
A freeze warning has been issued for Western Passaic County. Temperatures will plunge to or colder than the freezing mark. Outdoor pets should be brought inside or sheltered against the cold. Any plants susceptible to the cold should also be brought inside.
A frost advisory for eastern Passaic and western Bergen counties. Temperatures will fade to the low- and mid-30s. Expect to scrape a little frost off the cars and give yourself some extra time to let the vehicles properly warm-up.

THE WARM UP: When? This weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be in the low- to mid-70s under glorious sunshine. Record warmth? No, but if you want to do some leaf peeping, pumpkin or apple picking, the weather will be just phenomenal.
THE DROUGHT: Continues to get worse. Today is the 18th consecutive day where we haven't seen a drop collect in our rain gauges. Reservoirs and groundwater are vanishing. We need rain and it doesn't look like we have a good shot at it in the next seven to 10 days.
TONIGHT: Clear and chilly tonight. Lows in the 30s and 40s.
TOMORROW: Sunny and seasonable. Highs in the upper-60s.
