Two sharks are making their pick for the big game, according to an aquarium tradition that dates back several years.
The prediction came from Epaulette Sharks named Sophia and Blanche during a test at SEA LIFE New Jersey in East Rutherford.
The sharks were presented with football helmets placed inside the Coral Reef exhibit ahead of Sunday. One shark swam directly to the Seahawks, while the other passed the Patriots and also chose the Seahawks, aquarium officials said.
The aquarium has asked its sea creatures to make football predictions since 2022. The picks have been correct every year except once, officials said.
Past predictions have included animals such as a Spider Crab and River Turtles. This year, staff will see if the sharks can continue the winning streak at the New Jersey aquarium.
