The storms have passed, but the air has not necessarily cleared out. It is still very warm and steamy. The front that triggered the severe weather has stalled just to our north through the Poconos and Catskills. This is allowing that sultry Carolina air to continue tonight.
Sunny skies with billowing, towering cumulus clouds early in the will have our New Jersey skies looking tropical. A few thunderstorms will flare up later in the day, but the extent of the weather will not be as large as on Tuesday. But some storms in this unsettled environment could become severe. It is something that will need to be watched throughout the day.
Wednesday night will see more organized storminess swing through again. Flooding rains and damaging winds are possible. This floundering frontal structure sticks around into Thursday, allowing for more storms to pop off.
The weather will slowly ease going into Friday and Saturday. Forecasting fingers crossed.
