Several people were injured Wednesday morning in a crash involving a New Jersey Transit bus in Newark.
The crash happened
just after 7:30 a.m. at Grove Street and South Orange Avenue.
A
bus and two other vehicles were involved in the incident. Traffic
was detoured as police investigated.
Newark’s public safety director says the
bus was struck by one of two vehicles and the bus driver and five passengers
were transported to University Hospital for complaints of pain.
The driver of one of the vehicles
involved in the initial collision was also transported to University Hospital
for complaints of pain.
There
is no word just yet on the cause of the crash.
