More school districts will not be returning to in-person learning after winter break, and this includes some of New Jersey's largest cities.
STATE OF OUR SCHOOLS: Back-to-school resources
Starting Monday, Newark, Linden, Trenton, Elizabeth, Jersey City and Camden will all be remote for at least next week.
Parents in Edison are circulating a petition urging the Board of Education there to allow school to be remote when classes resume next week.

The New Jersey Education Association, which represents 200,000 public school employees, is urging school officials to take a closer look at the data before asking teachers to return to in-person instruction next week.
